Maas leads locals at state x-country

QUEENSBURY — November 12, 2013 — Several Sullivan County runners competed in the state cross country championships Saturday at Queensbury High School.
The best finish by any local runner was turned in by Eldred’s Kayla Maas who ran 29th in the Class D race with a time of 20:18.
The Tri-Valley girls’ team -- the only Sullivan County team to qualify – finished eighth in Class C.
Ian Kurzrock of Tri-Valley was the highest local boys’ finisher, coming in 35th in Class C with a time of 16:57.
