LOCH SHELDRAKE — February 22, 2013 — Monticello boys and Tri-Valley girls won the team competition at the Sullivan County Indoor Track and Field Championships Wednesday at SUNY Sullivan.
Monticello squeaked by Tri-Valley’s boys 85-80 while the Tri-Valley girls easily outdistanced the field of six schools.
Many of the top performers during the indoor season continued to excel at the Sullivan County Championships, including individual winners Alex Campanella of Eldred (1,000 and 3,200); Mitch Paciga of Sullivan West (high jump); Aric Boyes of Tri-Valley (shot put); Laura Doherty of Monticello (high jump)and Autumn Bender of Tri-Valley (1,000).

Boys: 1,600 relay: Tri-Valley (Carleton, Woolsey, Bender, Jamil); 3,200: Alex Campanella (Eld); 600: John Harned (Mont); 1,000: Campanella (Eld); 55 hurdles: Doug Leek (Eld); 1,600: Campanella (Eld); 300: Harned (Mont); High jump: Mitch Paciga; Shot put: Aric Boyes; 800 relay: Monticello (Ali, Smith, Raines, Roses).

Girls: 1,600 relay: Tri-Valley (Tingey, Brooks, Pennell, Tierney); 3,000: Brook Gillette (TV); 1,000: Bender (TV); 55 hurdles: Vicky Tingley (TV); 1,500: Bender (TV); High jump: Laura Doherty (Mont); 3,200 relay: Tri-Valley (Gillette, Graham, Brooks, Reynolds).
