Memorial Service
Catherine M. Krum

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 24 Chestnut St., Liberty, NY for Catherine M. “Tassie” Krum of Jeffersonville who passed away February 8th in Orange City, Florida.
The service will be followed by a celebration of her life luncheon at the Lazy Pond Bed and Breakfast, 79 Old Loomis Rd., Liberty, NY.

Ronald F. Darder
Retired Foreman for County Asphalt Inc., Tarrytown, 85

Ronald F. Darder of Long Eddy, NY, died Friday, September 20, 2013 at his home. He was 85 years of age.
The son of Mario and June Lytell Darder, he was born November 30, 1927 in Fallsburg, NY.
He was a devoted family man who doted on his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was also very active in community service. Anyone who knew Ronald knew of his penchant for telling the many tales of his life – of days spent hunting, fishing, working or serving his country. A proud husband, father and grandfather, he also had many stories to tell about those he loved. 
Mr. Darder was a WWII Navy Veteran; member of Laborers Union #7; member of St. Patrick’s Church in Long Eddy; member of the Knights of Columbus; and one of the founders of the Basket Historical Society.
He is survived by three half sisters, Georgette Seiden, Alice Creech and Anna Fadrowski; a daughter, Rhonda Gillow of Long Eddy; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Daniel and Deborah Darder and Michael and Kim Darder, all of Long Eddy; 12 grandchildren, Monica Bomgaars, Carmen, Beau and Mariah Gillow, Adam, Josh and Nate Darder, Forest, Autumn and Orion Darder and Shaun and Chelcie Darder; seven great-grandchildren, Arie & Ben Bomgaars, Zoe Warren, Sarah Darder, Grace and Jack Darder, and Rose Darder; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Marion Darder; two sisters, Nena Meyer and Lola Ferris, and a brother, Mario Darder, Jr.; a son, Timothy Darder, and son-in-law Paul Gillow.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Patrick’s Church in Long Eddy at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013.
Burial will be made in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Long Eddy at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Catksill Area Hospice, 1 Birchwood Dr., Oneonta, N.Y. 13820.
