Elizabeth Kidder
Artist

Elizabeth Lucille Kidder of Youngsville, NY, beloved sister, aunt and friend, gifted artist, avid reader and passionate lover of life, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2013.
Betty was born and raised in the Chicago area. She received her Master of Fine Arts degree from Indiana University, and her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Stephens College.
Betty enjoyed working in several mediums: as a painter in oil and watercolor, as a fine printer working at the Pratt Graphics Center, and as a ceramicist.
She was a member of the Youngsville Environmental Preservation Committee and participated in many of the group’s Sullivan Renaissance projects.
She is survived by her brother, four sisters and seven nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Youngsville Fire House on Sunday, September 8 at 3 p.m. in remembrance.

Eddy L. Ahnstrom
Handyman, 54

Eddy L. Ahnstrom of Callicoon, NY, a handyman and lifetime resident of the area, died Monday, August 19, 2013 at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, NY. He was 54.
The son of John Edmund and Freda Knack Ahnstrom, he was born April 12, 1959 in Monticello, NY.
Eddy was a longtime employee of South End Auto Parts in Liberty, Val Hoyniak Construction and Schwatz Electric. He was a member of the Liberty Elks Lodge and the Old Bastards Club of Liberty.
He is survived by two brothers, Glenn Ahnstrom and Paul Ahnstrom of Jeffersonville, NY; three sisters, Linda Ahnstrom of Jeffersonville, Debra Loughrey and her husband, Edward, of Cochecton, NY, and Patricia Eggler of Cortland, NY; his daughter, Casandra Ahnstrom of Binghamton, NY; his son, Eddy John Ahnstrom of Loch Sheldrake, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his aunt, Marie Eggler, who cared for and raised Eddy and his siblings from an early age.
There are no calling hours.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Jeffersonville Lutheran Cemetery, Jeffersonville, NY.
Arrangements are by the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, NY.
