Shelby Bauernfeind, 75
December 23, 1937 - June 1, 2013

Shelby Davis Bauernfeind passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was 75.
Shelby was born December 23, 1937 in Davidson County to Olin Thales Davis Jr. and Catherine Wilson Davis.
She retired from Orrell’s Food Service and was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are her husband, Stan Bauernfeind; sons Troy Bauernfeind and Tony Bauernfeind and wife, Tricia; daughter Tracy Holshouser; grandchildren, Kristi Hopkins and husband Shane, Chad Holshouser, Logan Holshouser and Drake Bauernfeind; great-grandchildren Shelby Grace Hopkins; brothers, Thales Davis and wife Madeline, and Willie Davis and wife Gayle; sisters, Bobby Tetter and husband Sammy, Connie Davis, and Cathy Bailey and husband Tom; and sister-in-law, Shirley Schumacher.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, June 5 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Cook officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials sent to Special Operations Warrior Foundation, P.O. Box 89367, Tampa, FL 33689 in memory of Shelby Davis Bauernfeind.

William ‘Willie Lee’ Stinson
Retired Painter, 76

William “Willie Lee” Stinson, 76 years, of Stoughton, MA, formerly of Liberty and Monticello, NY, died Saturday, June 1, 2013.
William was born, raised and educated in Troy, Alabama and was the son of the late Martin and Rose (Stringer) Stinson.
He was a retired painter; had worked for H. Piken Co., Inc. in Boston for over ten years, and worked at the Monticello Greenhouse in Monticello, NY, for 15 years, retiring in 2004. In later years he lived a very quiet and humble life and enjoyed his favorite pastime of fishing.
William is survived by two daughters and two sons, all of the Boston area; one sister from Ohio; five grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives. He is predeceased by one son.
Following cremation his remains will be returned to NY.

Morton (Cuddy) Kaplan, 84

Morton Kaplan, 84, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 in Lyndhurst, Ohio, and will be buried there in the Jewish Cemetery. He was the youngest of the four Kaplan brothers (Ben, Moe, Larry) who predeceased him, and the son of Philip and Sara Kaplan of Monticello. Survivors include a sister, Renee, in Florida; a stepdaughter, Michelle, of Lyndhurst and several grandchildren. He was born and grew up in Monticello, where he was a star athlete.
