Clinton George ‘Snooky’ Robertson
July 13, 1938 - December 16, 2012

Clinton George “Snooky” Robertson died December 16, 2012. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he lived in White Sulphur Springs, formerly Robertsonville in the 1800s.
Snooky was raised by George and Manja Robertson. His birth parents were Hamlin Robertson and Charlotte Kehrley. She died as a result of complications in childbirth.
Survivors are his sister, Patsy Robertson (John Noble); and brother Hamlin “Butch”, wife Kathy and his children, John, Chris, Tanya; and numerous cousins, including Marion Herron, Midge Roth and Frances Deal.
Snooky took great pride in his work and his 50-year membership in the Allied Craft Workers Local #5 which is the oldest continuous union in North America. He worked on numerous projects, especially proud of the big fireplace at Bethel Woods.
As a volunteer White Sulphur Springs fireman for more than 50 years, in recent times he took on the task of baking potatoes for the annual picnic.
He was especially proud of attending his niece’s graduation from college though he was having difficulty walking then.
In a family statement it was said, “We would like to recognize Theda Fuller who is a loyal friend – willing to help, whether fighting for a home health aide, meds, physical therapy, homecooked meals, special outings and much, much more.”
Please bring your memories, anecdotes, and stories to share. Food and beverages provided at the White Sulphur Springs Firehall on May 4, 2013 from 4-6 p.m. If attending, please leave a message with Holly at (845) 295-0859.
Arrangements are by the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, NY, (845) 482-4280.
