Peggy A. Krum
Ret. Bookkeeper, 75

Peggy A. Krum, of Beechwoods, Callicoon, a retired bookkeeper for Sullivan County and a lifelong area resident, died Saturday, May 19, 2012 in Oakton, VA. She was 75.
The daughter of the late Leonard and Helen Molusky Hess, she was born January 23, 1937 in Liberty, NY.
Peggy was an expert knitter and needleworker, a nature lover, and a fan of the Giants and Yankees.
Survivors include her daughter, Janette Neiditch and son-in-law, Jay of Oakton, VA.; one granddaughter, Katie Neiditch; one brother, James Hess of Chapin, SC; one niece; one nephew, and several cousins.
Her husband, William Krum, predeceased her in 2006.
Private burial will be in the Bauernfeind Cemetery, Callicoon later this summer.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Jeff Vol. Ambulance Corps, Jeffersonville, NY 12748.

Nancy M. Chesnick
Retired Secretary, 80

Nancy M. Chesnick of Callicoon, New York, a retired secretary for Roche’s Garage and the Villa Roma, died Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Achieve Rehab and Nursing Center in Liberty, New York. She was 80.
The daughter of the late John and Mary Tornich, she was born October 10, 1931 in Forest City, Pennsylvania.
Nancy was the widow of Benedict Chesnick.
She was a member of the Holy Cross Church in Callicoon and a member of the Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters of America.
Nancy is survived by two daughters, Carol Tunison and her husband, Robin, of Ithaca, NY, and Marie Chesnick of Wilmington, Mass., and by two granddaughters, Jaimie and Jessica Tunison. She was predeceased by a daughter, Joan Chesnick.
Friends may call on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, 34 Upper Main Street, Callicoon, New York from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 24 at Holy Cross Church, Route 97, Callicoon, NY, at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in the Callicoon Cemetery, Callicoon.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101A First Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
