Robert Allen Glassel Sr.
Dairy Farmer, 60

Robert Allen Glassel Sr. of Callicoon, NY, a lifelong area resident and a dairy farmer, died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY. He was 60.
The son of Eleanor Zieres Glassel and the late George Glassel, he was born June 5, 1953 in Callicoon.
Bob was a member of the Hortonville Fire Department, Cornell Cooperative Extension Service, the Sullivan County Cattle Breeders Association and the Eastern Dairy Cooperative. He was an avid bowler and bowled in many leagues over the years.
Survivors include his children: Robert A. Glassel Jr. of Callicoon, Carolee Glassel of Jeffersonville and John Glassel of Callicoon; his mother, Eleanor Zieres Glassel of Callicoon; one brother, Glenn Glassel and his wife Michelle of Jeffersonville; three sisters, Lillian Zieres and her husband Terry of Jeffersonville, Patricia Armstrong and her husband Gary of Callicoon, and Lois Erdman and her husband Ed of Jeffersonville; one grandson, George Glassel, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, in Callicoon, NY.
Firematic services will be held Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the funeral home.
Burial will be made in the Hortonville Cemetery, Hortonville.

A Memorial Service will be held for Lawrence G. “Larry” Scott of Callicoon, who died Thursday, December 12, 2013 in Callicoon. The service will take place on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 3 p.m. at the Hortonville Presbyterian Church, County Route 131, Hortonville, NY.

Homemaker, 87

June Cotiaux of Fremont Center, NY, a homemaker, died Monday, December 30, 2013 at Roscoe Regional Rehab. She was 87.
The daughter of the late Charles and Caroline Fritz, she was born September 4, 1926 in Astoria Queens, New York. She was the wife of Willam H. Cotiaux.
Survivors include her husband, William H. Cotiaux; her children: Susan Zorn, Janet Dugan and William C. Cotiaux; her granddaughter, Larissa Dzieciol and her husband Gregory; her brother, Charles Fritz, her sister, Carol Gerger, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home 34 Upper Main Street Callicoon, New York from 4-7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at 7 p.m.
Burial will take place on Friday at Calverton National Cemetery Calverton Long Island, New York at 12:30 PM.
