William Magliaro, 88

William N. “Bill” Magliaro of Roscoe, a retired tailor at the Concord Hotel, and a longtime area resident, died Saturday, October 4, 2008 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris. He was 88.
The son of the late Joseph and Maria Acone Magliaro, he was born January 10, 1920 in Orange, N.J.
Bill served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II as an Infantryman in No. Africa and Europe; he was a Communicant of the Gate of Heaven Church, Roscoe, and was a member and longtime president of the Roscoe-Rockland Senior Citizens Group. He had worked for many years in New Jersey as a stone mason and tailor before moving to the area.
Survivors include one son, Albert Magliaro and his wife Donna of Monroe, N.J.; three grandchildren, Marc Magliaro, Michele Magliaro and Ryan Prybl; and by several brothers and sisters.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Madeline Perilli Magliaro, thence by his second wife Margaret Kuchta Magliaro; and by a daughter, Angela.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 7 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave., Roscoe.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, October 8 at 10 a.m. in the Gate of Heaven Church, Highland Ave., Roscoe. Monsignor William Collins will officiate.
Burial will be in the Bon Air Cemetery, Roscoe.
Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Gate of Heaven Church, Highland Ave., Roscoe, NY 12776.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Harris Funeral Home, Roscoe.

Laurie Rieber
Office manager, 44

Laurie Ann Kentoski Rieber of Rock Hill died Sunday, October 5, 2008 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris.
She was 44.
The daughter of Donald J. Kentoski and Evelyn Lovenduski Kentoski, she was born February 26, 1964 in DuBois, Pennsylvania.
Laurie was an office manager for Dr. Scott Rosa in Rock Hill and attended both St. Joseph’s Church in Wurtsboro and St. Peter’s Church in Monticello. She was also on the Advisory Board for the Sullivan County YMCA.
She is survived by her husband: William J. Rieber Jr. and two sons, Brandon Rieber and Connor Rieber, all at home; three stepsons, Sean Rieber and his wife Nicole of Rock Hill, Brian Rieber and his wife Jennifer of Apalachin, and Keith Rieber and his fiancé Megan Drobysh of Monticello; two grandchildren, Jacob Anthony and Abigail Grace; her parents: Donald and Evelyn Kentoski and two brothers: Donald Kentoski and his wife Rebecca, and Joseph Kentoski, all of Penfield, Pa.; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 8 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Wurtsboro.
