Marie H. Yaun
Ret. Office Manager, 89

Marie H. Yaun, a lifetime Liberty resident, passed away on Tuesday January 8, 2008 at her daughter’s home in Sparrowbush surrounded by her loving family. She was 89.
The daughter of John and Helen Kiseling Kirchner, she was born on November 27, 1918 in Liberty.
She was the retired office manager of C. Yaun Sr. & Jr. Plumbing & Heating in Liberty.
Marie was a member of the White Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church, a 25 year leader of the 4H Club of Liberty and a member of the Pocahontas Club of Liberty.
She is survived by four sons, Thomas C. Yaun and wife, Barbara of Standwood, Wash., Charles H. Yaun Jr. and wife, Joann of Liberty, Deming Yaun and wife, Virginia of Beacon and Stacey Yaun and wife, Rose of Liberty; three daughters, Nancy L. Menges and husband, Ronald of Liberty, Linda M. Roidl Webb and husband, Wilbur Webb of Syracuse and Christine H. Yaun Crary and husband, George of Sparrowbush; fifteen grandchildren, Keith Menges, Kathy DeNaro, Taunya Clarke, Kristopher Yaun, Jeffrey Yaun, Jennifer Yaun, Jessie Yaun, Thomas L. Crary, George Crary III, Kami Crary, Adam Yaun, Andrew Yaun, Carl Yaun, Justin Yaun and Cody Yaun, and ten great-grandchildren, Amanda DeNaro, Tiffany DeNaro, Kendall Menges, RuthAnne Clarke, Stuart Clarke, Charles Marie Yaun, Mark Bertram, Aiden Yaun, Rachel Yaun and Brandon Lewis.
Marie was predeceased by her husband, Charles “Hiram” Yaun Sr.; three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held on Friday January 11, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the White Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate.
Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs.

Lauren L. Stoutenburg Jr., 61

Lauren L. “Larry” Stoutenburg Jr. of Woodbourne, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2007 at home. He was 61.
The son of Lauren and Edna Hutton Stoutenburg Sr., he was born on October 20, 1945 in Kingston.
A family statement read, Larry loved to tinker and repair everything. He was an avid outdoorsman and was loved by anyone who knew him. He was a past member of the Excelsior Hose in Kingston, past member of Accord Fire Department, a member of the Wawarsing Rod & Gun Club, president of the Mended Hearts Chapter 310 Heart Transplant Group in Albany, as well as a heart transplant recipient himself on February 28, 2002.
Larry leaves behind his loving wife of 31 years, Marlene at home; his parents, Lauren and Edna Stoutenburg Sr. of Kingston; one son, Lanny Stoutenburg IV and Cynthia of Neversink; three daughters, Lauroena Turner and her husband, Russell, Larcynda Stoutenburg all of Neversink, Lara Stoutenburg and Wade of Kenoza Lake; one granddaughter, Kayla Stoutenburg; one grandson, Lauren L. Stoutenburg V.; one sister, Jeanette Finch and her husband, Barry of Kingston; three brothers, Daniel Stoutenburg and his wife, Olga of Texas, Griffin Stoutenburg and his wife, Wanida of Rosendale, Martin Stoutenburg and his wife, Marie of Highland; one god-daughter, Melissa Brainard of Saugerties; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one son, Lauren Stutenburg III and a baby girl.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 27 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, Woodbourne. Rev. Carl Caskey officiated.
Interment was made in the Whitfield Cemetery in Accord.

Helen A. Adolph
Ret. cashier, 85

Helen A. Adolph of Livingston Manor and retired cashier from the Roscoe Diner & Sullivan's Department, passed away on Wednesday, January 09, 2008 at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City after a short illness. She was 85.
She was born as Helene Anny Burkhardt on April 12, 1922 in Germany to the late Karl and Marie Jungk Burkhardt.
Helen was the widow of Herbert W. Adolph, whom she married on June 7, 1942 in New York City and was also predeceased by one sister, Ruth Peschke.
"She will be missed greatly by all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family."
Survivors include her daughter, RoseMarie Adolph of Bradenton, FL.; her sons, Herbert G. Adolph and his wife Carrol; Eugene J. Adolph and his domestic partner, Ray Fernekes; Kurt Adolph and his wife Wendy, all of Livingston Manor; three grandchildren, Alan and James Fuller of Georgia; Lisa Fuller of Bradenton, FL.; two step-grandchildren, Robert Darbee of South Carolina; and Dannielle Muelthaler of New York City; two great-grandchildren, Ezeka Melendez and Jena Fuller; and two sisters, Julia Tschaikowsky of New Jersey; and Marie Schmittner of North Carolina along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2008 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street, Livingston Manor, NY.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 13, 2008 at the funeral home. Rev. Bonnie Pinto, officiating.
Interment will be in the Orchard Street Cemetery in the spring.
