Carol A. Cummings
Ret. bus driver, 73

Carol A. Cummings of Jeffersonville, a retired bus driver and a longtime area resident, died Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, Pa. She was 73.
The daughter of the late Christian C. and Emma V. Lanigan Kramer, she was born March 30, 1936 in Bronx, NY. She was married to Peter J. Cummings.
She was formerly a Village of Jeffersonville Board member, having served for many years.
She is survived by her husband, at home; three daughters, Sue Conklin and her husband Jeff of Jeffersonville, Laura Lee and her husband Joe of SanBruno, Calif., and Ruth Cummings of Sunnyvale, Calif.; her grandchildren, Derrick and Jimi Lee, Kayla Imlay, Christian Vargas, Jennifer Vargas, Wilson Vargas Jr., Katie Vargas, and Kelly Vargas, Luke Conklin, and Kailee Brianna and Abbie Cummings; and many close and loving friends.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Karen Imlay; and her brother, A. Christian Kramer.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3 at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, 5068 Route 52, Jeffersonville, NY.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
