Gladys Mae Kinney
Retired Waitress, 85

Gladys Mae Kinney of Buck Brook, Roscoe, NY, a homemaker and former waitress and a lifetime resident of the area, died Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Achieve Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Liberty, NY. She was 85.
The daughter of the late Frank and Ida Hankins Riker, she was born November 11, 1923 in the Town of Tusten, NY.
She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Jeffersonville.
Survivors include her husband, Earl Kinney, Sr., at home; two sons, Earl Kinney, Jr. and his wife Natalie of Hortonville, NY and Jesse Kinney and his wife Shirley of Harris, NY; a daughter-in-law, Alice Kinney; her grandchildren: Lloyd Kinney, Frank Kinney, Amy Kinney, Lora McAvoy, Lisa Smith, Shane Kinney, Jesse Kinney, and Darin Kinney; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jean Crowder, Jane Heaton, and Joan Staples; and one brother, Harold Riker. She was predeceased by a son, Lloyd Kinney; and five sisters, Evelyn, Lillian, Dorothy, Mildred and Florence.
Services were held Monday, March 23 at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Callicoon.
Burial was made in Glen Cove Cemetery, Narrowsburg, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Upper Delaware Ambulance Corps, PO Box 238, Hankins, NY 12741 or to the North Branch Fire Department, PO Box 28, North Branch, NY 12766.
