Robert Englert
Ret. U.S. Post Office emp., 62

Robert Englert, 62, formerly of Damascus, PA, died on Sunday, March 1, 2009, at Hilton Head, SC, after a long illness.
The son of the late Raymond and Felice (Lee) Cocozello Englert, he was born April 25, 1946 in Callicoon, NY.
Mr. Englert was a graduate of Delaware Valley Central School in Callicoon, and Penn State University. He had taught in the Philadelphia city school system and later worked for the U.S. Post Office in Roseboom, NY, from which he retired in 2001. Bob was an avid fisherman, expert cook and gardener, and loved living along the Delaware River across from Callicoon.
He is survived by his cousins Marion Kessler of Ozark, AR; Karl Drews of Savannah, GA, and Marie Drews-D’Angelo of New York City, as well as a large extended family generating from Staten Island, NY.
Cremation was performed by Saul’s Funeral Home, Bluffton, SC.
A memorial service will be held in Callicoon at a later date.
Donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the Delaware Youth Center, Callicoon, NY.
Arrangements are by Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Callicoon, 887-4900.
