Helen Muzuruk
Wallpaper & Painting Decorator, 71

Helen Muzuruk of Youngsville, NY, a lifetime area resident, died Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Orange Regional Medical Center’s Arden Hill Campus. She was 71.
The daughter of the late Chester L. and Ella Sammann Bartholomew, she was born August 26, 1939 in Liberty, NY. She was the widow of John Muzuruk and of Everett Thompson.
Mrs. Muzuruk was a homemaker, and a wallpaper and painting decorator.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dwight Muzuruk and his wife Debbie of Jeffersonville, and Douglas Muzurk and his wife Kerri of Youngsville; her grandchildren, Devon, Daphne, John, Carli, and Paige Muzuruk; her niece, Louise Hurlburt and her husband Guy; and her nephew, Scott Bartholomew and his wife Terri. She was predeceased by her husbands, John Muzuruk and Everett Thompson, and by her brother, Fred Bartholomew.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 25 at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Jeffersonville.

Emma R. Smith
Retired Store Clerk, Eddie’s Famous Foods, 93

Emma R. Smith of Jeffersonville, NY, a retired store clerk at Eddie’s Famous Foods, Jeffersonville, and a lifetime resident, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty. She was 93.
The daughter of the late Matthew and Minnie Huebner Krum, she was born November 23, 1916 in Jeffersonville. She was the widow of Harold A. Smith.
Emma was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a past Matron.
She is survived by her son, Harold L. Smith and his wife Nancy of Jeffersonville; her daughter, Gloria Hemmer of Jeffersonville; nine grandchildren, Kim Bouton, Dawn Roser, Harold L. Smith Jr., Laura McAndrew, Valerie Menges, Keith Smith, Paul Hemmer, James Hemmer and John Hemmer; 14 great-great-grandchildren, Jessica Bouton, Julia Roser, Lyle Roser, Matthew Roser, Harold Smith III, Kaitlyn Smith, Edward McAndrew, Kristen McAndrew, Courtney Menges, Hunter Menges, Stephanie Smith, Christine Hemmer, Samantha Hemmer, and Brooke Ann Hemmer. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Robert Hemmer; her sisters, Evelyn Porter and Helen Scardefield; and her brother, George Krum.
Graveside services were held Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the Greenhill Cemetery in Youngsville. Pastor Bridgette LeConey officiated.

Frank C. Fulton
Retired Dairy Farmer, 90

Frank C. Fulton of Kenoza Lake, a retired dairy farmer, died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was 90.
The son of the late Frank Sidney and Florence Cochran Fulton, he was born December 28, 1919 in Kenoza Lake. He was married to Elinor M. Grant Fulton, who died in 1998.
Frank was a past committeeman for the Cornell Cooperative Extension Service of Sullivan County, and a former board member of the Kenoza Lake Cemetery Association.
He is survived his son, Frank T. Fulton and his wife Lois of Kenoza Lake; his daughter, Ruth Mootz and her husband Edwin of Kenoza Lake; his dear friend and companion, Martha Gabel of Youngsville; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters, Albert Fulton, Jesse Fulton, Sidney Fulton, Earl Fulton, William Fulton, Irene Fulton, Inez Calkins, Florence Townsend, Mabel Peters, Myrtle Hofmann, and Ethel Myers Segar.
Friend may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26 at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, NY.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Octobrt 27 at the funeral home. Pastor Bill Hagerty will officiate.
Burial will be in the Kenoza Lake Cemetery, Kenoza Lake.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kenoza Lake United Methodist Church.
