Dominic Macedonio
Owner, Macedonio Stables, 73

Dominic Macedonio of Monticello, NY, died Monday, June 7, 2010 at home, with his loving family by his side. He was 73.
Dominic’s family described him as a generous, loving, and caring man who enjoyed his horses and his garden.
He was born in Locust Valley, Long Island, the son of Carmelo and Josephine Famiglietti Macedonio. He owned and operated Macedonio Stables in Monticello for 45 years.
He was a member of the Monticello Horsemen’s Association and served on the Board of Directors for over 18 years. He was a former member of the Lakeland Volunteer Fire Dept. of Ronkonkoma, NY, and a member of the DPM Loft pigeon racing team, and the Macedonio Gun Club of Monticello.
He is survived by four daughters: Dolores (Neil) Willson of Deland, Fla., Maryann (Tom) Manza and Michele Macedonio, all of Monticello, and Melissa (Michael) Frunzi of Long Beach, NY; his life-partner, Jeanne of Monticello; one daughter-in-law, Carole B. Macedonio of Monticello; ten grandchildren: Michael (Mollie) Messenger, Megan Drobysh, Amanda Drobysh, Emily Drobysh, Tiffany Caruso, Cristie Caruso, Chauncey (Buddy) Caruso Jr., Maeve Frunzi, Ryan Macedonio, and Angela Macedonio; four great-grandchildren: Owen Messenger, Leo Dominic Messenger, Abigail Rieber and Leah Rieber; five brothers: Joseph, Frank, Sammy (Elaine), Peter (Lorraine) and Phillip (Geri) Macedonio, all of Suffolk County; three sisters: Dolly (Nat) Amato, Petrina Fusco and Rita (Tony) Belcastro.
He was predeceased by a son, Carmine Macedonio; one brother, Sonny Macedonio; and three sisters: Tessie Lippis, Dorothy DiGregorio, and his baby sister, Angela Macedonio.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2010 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Forestburgh with Fr. Ivan Csete officiating.

Fred Edwards, 74
Oct. 8, 1935 - June 3, 2010

Fred Edwards, 74, passed away on June 3, 2010 at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Mo.
He was born October 8, 1935 at Callicoon, NY, to Adna and Hilda (Fries) Edwards.
Fred was married for 39 years to wife Bonnie (Kelsey). He devoted his life to his family and his career. He worked for RT French for 25 years, then Spice Craft for 11 years, and finally Precision Foods for 10 years. His hobbies were fishing and gardening. He will be missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Gladys Lasher; and grandson Cory Edwards.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie; daughter Cindy and her husband Kenny Perry; two sons, Steve and wife Julie Edwards and Shane and wife Haidi Edwards; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Robert, Paul and David; and one sister, Joan Dirie.
Graveside services were held Monday, June 7, 2010 at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home in Springfield, Mo.

Guy Aime Dumas
Retired Chief Engineer, 85

Guy Aime Dumas of Callicoon, a retired Chief Engineer for Irving Trust Bank, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, Pa. He was 85.
The son of the late Robert and Rolande Alice Meau Dumas, he was born January 23, 1925 in Toulouse, France. He was married to Monique DesJardins Dumas.
Mr. Dumas was a former captain of Auxiliary Police for the NYPD at Staten Island, NY, and a Red Cross CPR instructor.
He is survived by his wife, Monique DesJardins Dumas, at home; one son, Frank Dumas of Hortonville; two grandchildren, Phillipe Dumas of the USAF at Little Rock, Ark., and Marcelle Dumas Oveson of Salt Lake City, Utah; two great-grandchildren, Jocelyn and Kristian Oveson; one sister, Annie Avinian; one niece, Stephanie and her husband Serge; and one nephew Stephan and his wife Virginie, all of France.
There will be no visitation.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Joseph F. Fischer Jr.
Computer Technologist, 38

Joseph Frederick Fischer Jr., a computer information technologist of Deltona, Fla. and formerly of Fosterdale, NY, died Friday, June 4, 2010 in Deltona. He was 38.
The son of the late Joseph Frederick Fischer Sr. and Denise Marie DuBois Fischer, he was born March 11, 1972 in Monticello, NY.
A family statement said, “He loved sports, riding his motorcycle, and installing car stereos.”
He is survived by his daughter, Kira Marie Fischer of Longwood, Fla.; his sister, Deborah Fischer Sedlack of Smallwood; his fiancee, Sandra Daven and her children, Brittani, Breanna, and Michael Daven; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Jeffersonville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 17 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
