Retired NYS Insurance Broker, 84
Pearl Bjorklund, age 84, of Pinellas Park, Florida, died peacefully Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Hospice House following a stroke.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a late resident of Long Eddy, Callicoon and Mileses, NY, and a retired New York State insurance broker and homemaker, charter member of Cornell Cooperative Extension Homemakers 50 years, United Methodist Church of Fremont Center, NY. She attended N.M.C. of Callicoon, taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was a member of the Red Hat Society (enjoyed wearing hats).
She liked performing in shows and singing in the chorus at Golden Gate Community.
Predeceased by husband of 64 years, Harold Bjorklund, and son Richard. Survived by daughter Lois Lukas of St. Petersburg, son Robert Bjorklund, his wife Anna, and their children; a sister and nieces.
As per Pearl’s wish, there are to be no services. Private burial will be made in Long Eddy.
