Randi L. Haberli
Teacher, Childcare Giver

Randi L. Haberli (nee Holm) of Hankins, NY, died Thursday, April 29, 2010.
Devoted mother of daughter Ryann Haberli, her partner Brian Biro of Corning, NY, and son Brad Michael Haberli of Jeffersonville, NY. Loving daughter of Jean and the late Dick Holm formerly of Park Ridge, NJ. Dear sister of Rick Holm, his wife Cheryl and Jim Holm, all of Park Ridge, NJ. Loving aunt of Kristin, Gary, Jessica, and Brenden Holm; Megan, Eric, Jackson, Alex and the entire Haberli Family.
Randi was an elementary school teacher before having children. She then became involved with nursery school and daycare facilities, working as a teacher and director. In later years, as her children grew older, she took care of family and friends’ children in private settings. Her love and devotion to children was her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Even with her disability later in life, she enjoyed life to the fullest. We will miss her beautiful smile, laughter, and wonderful sense of humor.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Randi may be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation or Hospice of Rockland County.

Vivian A. Hasbrouck
Retired Secretary, 89

Vivian A. Hasbrouck of Liberty, NY, a retired secretary for the Town of Liberty Assessor’s Office and a lifelong area resident, passed away May 1, 2010 with family by her side. She was 89.
Born July 26, 1920, she is the daughter of the late Edmund W. and Anna Flannagan Martin. She was married to the late Donald Hasbrouck.
In addition to her husband and parents, Vivian was pre-deceased by her brother, Thomas Martin, son-in-law Lester Hummel Jr., and great-grandson Shawn Hummel.
Family memories of Vivian include much laughter. She was an avid reader who enjoyed life. She was very proud of her family and took great pride in being the grandmother of 19 grandchildren! Her generosity and kindness will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Vivian is survived by her son, Thomas Hasbrouck of Liberty; her daughters, Joann Hummel of Loch Sheldrake, NY, and Vickie Woods of Claryville, NY; brother, Douglas Martin and wife Jane; sister-in-law, Ann Marie Martin and brother in-law, Allie Hasbrouck and wife Cathy; six grandchildren, Donald Hummel and wife Valerie, Christopher Hummel and wife Lisa, Craig Hummel and wife Amy, Pennie Conkling and husband Ronald, Jennifer McPhillips and husband Brian, Alan Price and wife Jennifer; 11 great-grandchildren, Heather, Lisa, Andrew and wife Stephanie, Tyler and Dylan Hummel, Victoria Olivo and Johnathan Conkling, Kristen and Emily Niemann, Nicholas and Kaitlin Price; and one great-great grandchild, Shawn Hummel Jr. Extended family includes Phyllis Maxwell and children Michelle, Joe and John; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Friday, May 7 at Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 8 at the funeral home. Deacon John Riley will officiate.
Burial will be in the St. Peter’s Cemetery, Cold Spring Rd., Liberty.
Following burial, Family and Friends are invited to the Neversink Firehouse to celebrate the life of Vivian Hasbrouck.

Mary Jane Lackemann
Former Postmaster, 87

Mary Jane (Warden) Lackemann, 87, of Monticello, NY, died Saturday, May 1, 2010, at home after a short illness.
She was born October 21,1922 in Hornell, NY, to Percy and Emily Bartle. She was a graduate of Eldred Central School, and worked as the Postmaster in Yulan, NY.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Monticello and a volunteer at the Church Thrift Shop, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Eldred, NY and of the Retired Postmasters Association. She was active in the Monticello Senior Citizens group.
She is survived by her children: John “Scotty” Warden and his wife Luanna of Maryville TN, Susan FitzPatrick of Eagleville, PA, Nora Hughson and her husband Mike of Monticello, NY, and Phyllis Monteleone and her husband Frank of Eldred, NY; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her brother Harrison Bartle of Albany, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husbands John Warden Jr., and George Lackemann; and her brother Franklin Bartle of Eldred, NY.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello, NY, on Saturday, May 8, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
