Body found in Delaware River

NARROWSBURG — May 7, 2013 — State Police are investigating a body found along the Delaware River south of Narrowsburg.
Saturday afternoon, accord­ing to police, canoeists discovered lifeless human remains on a rock in the river, near its confluence with Ten Mile River.
Troopers, the Narrowsburg Fire Department, the Tusten Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the National Park Service were called to the scene to recover the body.
No identification was released pending an autopsy yesterday, which had not been completed by press time.
However, the State Police did say that it appeared the deceased had been dead for some time.
