Sarah O'Connor, 5, of Callicoon, threw little ghosts through the holes of a bean bag game in her fairy costume.

Fun delayed, but
not denied

By Jeanne Sager
CALLICOON — Proving a day late is better than never, the Delaware Youth Center held its annual Halloween parade and party on Sunday one day after the surprise nor'easter forced organizers to postpone.
Dozens of costumed kids made their way down Main Street before filling Grover Hermann Hall, where the center's dedicated volunteers had turned the place into a holiday-themed amusement center for kids.
From tossing spiders on spiderwebs to throwing ghosts instead of beanbags, the kids worked up plenty of warming energy to make up for the cold snow outside.
