MEDICAL PERSONEL FROM MobileMedic and the LifeNet helicopter crew ready Christopher Rosa of South Fallsburg for transport to Westchester Medical Center. They are being assisted by members of the Fallsburg PD.

South Fallsburg man airlifted after injury

By Ted Waddell
SOUTH FALLSBURG — The call came into to the Fallsburg Police Department on Friday, January 9 at approximately 12:40 p.m. that a man in an apartment on Main Street has passed out as a result of what appeared to be an unknown head injury.
According to Officer Randy Yates of the Fallsburg Police Department, he and fellow officer Christopher Rosa responded to the aided call and found Reginald Rosa, 28, unresponsive and having severe difficulty breathing.
MobileMedic responded, along with members of the Fallsburg Volunteer Fire Department, NYS Police and NYS DEC.
After being treated at the scene by MobileMedic paramedics, Rosa (no relation to Fallsburg PD Officer Rosa) was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla by LifeNet, a helicopter medical service based at Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Harris.
The incident is under investigation by Detective Brendan Pavese of the Fallsburg PD.
“He wasn’t speaking at all, he was out of it,” said Officer Yates of the victim.
