WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS — July 15, 2005 – In Tuesday night’s Sullivan County Women’s Softball League (SCWSL) game, Dutch’s dominated Cobbler’s by a final score of 17-2.
The game was played at Gary A. Bradley Memorial Field, located at the local fireman’s park in White Sulphur Springs.
Dutch’s jumped out to five-run lead in the top of the first.
At their turn at-bat in the second frame, Cobbler’s grabbed a run back, only to see it erased by the opposition in the third as Dutch’s scored once to take a 6-1 advantage.
Dutch’s scored three runs in the fourth, one in the fifth and sent seven across the plate in the sixth inning.
In the bottom of the sixth, Cobbler’s (4-7) scored once.
The game was then halted due to the SCWSL’s 15-run mercy rule.
Dutch’s improved to 4-8 on the season, while Cobbler’s fell to 4-7.
