The Family Works Hard

Editor’s Note: Today we begin our look back at how the local boys’ and girls’ high school basketball teams fared during the 2002-2003 season. Please see more season wrap-up stories in future issues.

March 14, 2003 – The Family School

Overall Record: 9-11

League Record: 6-4 OCIAA Division V

Top Performers: Senior Lukas Droseros scored 18 points per game for the Falcons.
Ryan McCarthy, also a senior, averaged 16 points a game.
Junior Paul Cassidy pulled down an average of nine rebounds per game.

Season Highlight: “Probably beating Roscoe at Roscoe late in the season,” Coach Bill Musgrove said. “The boys really worked hard and we won the game 65-60. There has been only one other time in the seven years we have played them that we beat Roscoe in their gym.”

Season Lowlight: “Probably losing to Chapel Field in the sectionals,” Musgrove said. “They won 57-45 to beat us for the third time this season.”
