Joseph Goodstein
Ret. Sullivan Ind., 78

Joseph Goodstein, a 26-year resident of Loch Sheldrake and retired from Sullivan Industries in Monticello, died Saturday, November 29, 2003, at the Seelig Division of the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was 78 years of age.
The son of the late Hyman and Eva Rappapart Goodstein, he was born November 18, 1925, in Manhattan.
He attended Rose Valley Senior Center in Monticello.
Mr. Goodstein is survived by his wife, Patricia McGarry Goodstein, and his extended family of New Hope Community.
Services were held Wednesday at the Colonial Memorial Funeral Home in Woodbourne with Rabbi Irwin Tanenbaum officiating.
Interment was made in the Woodbourne Reform Cemetery.

Joann B. Conklin
Homemaker, 53

Joann B. Conklin of Port Jervis, a homemaker and a lifelong area resident, died Saturday, November 29, 2003, at the Horton Campus of the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 53 years of age.
The daughter of the late Frederick and Hattie Conklin, she was born November 1, 1950, in Port Jervis.
She is survived by her husband, Philip Conklin, at home; three sons, Eric Rake and Lance Conklin of Port Jervis, and Philip Conklin of Newton, N.J.; four daughters, April Rake and her fiance, Joseph DiToto of Monticello, Jeanette Rake and Amanda Rake, both of Port Jervis, and Ashley Conklin of Newton, N.J.; a brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Kay Conklin of Huguenot; a sister and brother-in-law, Marion and Dennis DeGroat of Port Jervis; a granddaughter, Shania Rake; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were held Thursday at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home in Port Jervis with the Rev. Emil Winkelspecht of the Matamoras United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial was made in the Rural Valley Cemetery in Cuddebackville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family of Joann at P.O. Box 722, Port Jervis, N.Y. 12771.

Allene V. Davis
Bus Aide, 51

Allene V. Davis of Liberty, a bus aide for Gershowitz Transportation in Liberty, died Thursday, December 4, 2003, in Neversink. She was 51 years of age.
The daughter of the late Carlton and Virginia Wells McKinney, she was born April 30, 1952, in Monticello. She was the widow of Robert Davis who died February 21, 2003.
Mrs. Davis was a member of the Rock Hill United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Ryan and Russell Lepke, both of Liberty; a daughter and son-in-law, Kerri and Terry Vargo of Neversink; two step-daughters and their husbands, Linda and Kevin Hopkins of Liberty and Susie and Kevin Sommers of the state of Florida; two brothers, Carlton McKinney of California and Daniel McKinney of Nevada; and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St., Liberty, on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Cremation will be made at the Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.
