SULLIVAN COUNTY — September 18, 2001 – The Catskill Junior Tour handed out scholarships for a seventh straight year. According to CJT President Tom DuPlessis of Hurleyville, over $13,000 has been disbursed by the junior golf circuit.
The 2001 award recipients were:
• Gregg Semenetz of Jeffersonville. Attended Sullivan West Central School’s Jeff Campus. Attending Penn State. Scholarship Award: $1,000 ($500 for 2 years). Majoring in Professional Golf Management
• Ben Hoover of Milford, Pa. Attended Delaware Valley Central School. Attending Methodist College. Scholarship Award: $600 ($300 for 2 years). Majoring in Professional Golf Management.
• Lisa Papa of Blooming Grove. Attended Washingtonville High School. Attending Albany State University. Scholarship Award: $400 (200 for 2 years). Majoring in Education
