No Disappointments
For Lady Wildcats

By Rob Potter
March 23, 2001:
Season Record:
12–9 overall, 8-2 OCIAA Division V
Starting Line-Up
Guard – Rachelle Irwin
Forward – Casey Green
Forward – Bridget Ellison
The other two starters varied, although Stephanie Babich and Megan Roser saw a number of those starting assignments.
Season Highlights:
“The highlight was beating Roscoe and giving them their only division loss,” coach Gail Whaley said. “And we had a goal at the beginning of the season to make it to postseason play and we qualified for sectionals.”
Manor lost to Roscoe 46-36 in the Class D semifinal.
Biggest Disappointment:
“Nothing,” Whaley said. “I can’t say anything drastically bad happened.”
Top Scorers:
Bridget Ellison netted a team-best 12 points per game. Rachelle Irwin and Casey Green averaged 11 and nine points per game respectively.
Top Rebounders:
Ellison pulled down 11 boards a game, while Green averaged a second-best six rebounds per contest. Irwin garnered four rebounds each game.
Other Stats:
Irwin averaged five assists and five steals per game.
MVP/Most Improved Player:
Whaley declined to mention, as both awards will be presented at the Livingston Manor athletic banquet later this school year.
