Ross Wins
State Gymnastics Title

SYRACUSE — March 14, 2000 -- Jonathan Ross of Narrowsburg won the New York State level 5 high bar competition in his age class (10-11) on Saturday with a score of 9.0. Ross also won 10th place in parallel bars, seventh in the pommel horse and 11th all around.
This qualified him to move on to the Region 7 championships being held in Hanover, Pa., on April 15th. This regional meet will feature the top gymnasts from New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and New Jersey.
Ross was competing as part of the Monticello School of Gymnastics, coached by Pedro Tweed and William Merchant. The state meet was held in Syracuse.
Team members whom qualified to compete at the state meet were Ben Muller and Kienan Garn (Level 5) and Evan Muller and Zach Bouillon (Level 6). Bouillon took seventh place in the high bar.
